Peer recovery support involves individuals with similar experiences working together to improve skills, share knowledge, and provide mutual support throughout their recovery. Our Peer Support Recovery Specialists (CPRSS) are certified by the Nevada Certification Board and have firsthand experience in the recovery process. We recommend starting at the Foundation for Recovery in Las Vegas, where they offer a free program with ongoing classes. As part of the internship, you’ll need to complete 475 hours of peer work, including 25 hours of supervision. PRSSs offer support to each other beyond clinical settings, forming connections based on shared experiences and understanding.
